All previous snows have melted here in central connecticut. we are expecting the edges of a big snow and icy mix storm sometime later this morning. But the 2 days of 60 degree weather has given me a peek of the plants; i suspect an extended growing season to allow them to develop those roots ought to pay off this spring. With any luck the plants will jump right from season 2 to season 3. That sure would make this homeowner, my honey happy, and me too. The well landscaped place needs some softer edges. I used a few annuals last year though, so Ill have to pick up some more perrenials and put them right in the ground. The whole herb in a clay pot didnt pan out last summer. Too hot on the back deck I suppose. Besides, we HAVE a yard and a garden, so may as well use it.

Gardens give shade in a hot summer, sensual dreams in a warming spring, shelter to your cat, and an extra source of food for the neighborhood song birds.

p.s. the cat was fine!
