Her belly was close to the ground, her ears back, her legs andtail quivering ever so slightly. I followed her line of site and discovered a grey squirrel in the garden munching on a corn suet I had left. Jessie crawled forward a few steps, paused (pawsed?) and iched forward a bit more. Then she froze. I looked and the squirrel was alert. It knew something was up! I feared Jessie would lose her patience and charge like a cheetah across the lawn. Unfortunately she doesnt come close to blending with it, so the squirrels usually get plenty of notice. This morning was different. She froze again, and after a millenium moment it went back to eating. Jessie crawled forward a bit more. You could see her habit almost got the best of her as she looked about to charge, but she waited.

I beamed. Proud Mom as it were. My cat was improving. Mind you I like the squirrel and don't particularly want her to catch it. Also she could use the run! But I was proud nonethe less. I watched a moment longer, then left for work, allowing the mystery to linger with me.

Meow. The Cat likes the snow, but the neighbor cats are prowling now. For some reason they think they can over run Jessie and get to my heart. Well, news for you neighbor bad cats... jsut because you ran Jessie's brother out of town, doesnt mean you aren't still the Evil Twin and Bad Brown Cat still. Find your food at home. and leave Jessie alone.

Global Community: Dalai Lama

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Her engine roared. She was pleased. She padded around giving us all a warm fuzzy. We were lulled. then just as quickly, she lept from the bed and dashed down the stairs. A ploy to wake us up and get us paying attention to her wants wishes and desires. *Sigh* *smile* could be worse. At least she wasn't batting at the hanging closet door.
