Einstein | American Museum of Natural History Einstein came to a sudden realization: time is not absolute. In other words, despite our common perception that a second is always a second everywhere in the universe, the rate at which time flows depends upon where you are and how fast you are traveling.

Snoopy called me again this morning at 8:30. He wanted me to look up a cell phone number in his email on the internet for him. But alas, the server seemed to be down. It's almost time for his appointment to meet The Dragon! (see below)

Winter Steams, Summer Dreams
Snoopy called me from Michigan. The rental car died, but 2 hours later Snoopy and his red baron were back on the road....
12 hours later they arrived in Michigan...9:45pm. 9:55 called me and let me know. I am touched. I didn't ask for the call, but I am glad to know they made it safely!
Tomorrow is the day they see the dragon~! We should know if Snoopy and the Red Baron bring the dragon home by night fall or not long afterwards...

The saga continues.....eDiets News" Mac had never told her he liked her, much less loved her. He had never stroked her hair or gently wiped an eyelash from her face. He’d never come up behind her and hugged her tightly. He had never let her name pass between his lips like he wanted to say it. For all he cared, she could die tomorrow and he’d still sit down to a Michelob and a Hungry Man like nothing had happened. It was a pity."

Jazz at Lincoln Center - Guest Artists He has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, and at the White House for US presidents. His commissions include the prestigious Meet the Composer program, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Gloriae Dei Cantores and the Library of Congress, for which he was invited to compose a sonata in celebration of the institution's centennial celebration. Along with Yo-Yo Ma and bassist Edgar Meyer, he recorded the acclaimed Appalachia Waltz."
Thanks Pete Molchan for checking out this site. I am republishing the archives for more fun. Mission: See if you can find references to the play, The Pajama Game and references to Fernando.
Diane, I let Pete know that you were the great photographer on my bio pic and he also said yes it was obviously made grainy on purpose.

From my beliefnet daily buddhist email:
"A monk can be very gentle, very peaceful, while there are no hard words to assail him. But when hard words are directed at him, it is then that he must be really gentle and peaceful.

The toaster stopped working this morning. Bummer cause I got up late and feeling quite hungry didn't want the same cereal i had all week.
Popped my toaster thingies in the oven, but what a waste. Checked for a fuse in the toaster, found none. Swapped outlets, no improvement. Maybe my heating element went, because the timer always works even if the toaster is not plugged in.

The Odds of Having MultiplesYou'll increase your odds of having twins/multiples if....
- You (the mother) are over age 35. The chances of having twins increases with age, to to 1 in 27. Becoming a mother after age 50 boosts your odds considerably, to 1 in 9!
- You live in Massachusetts or Connecticut. The study found that rates in these states were at least 25% higher than the national rate in the United States.

Hi Family!
2002 was quite some year for every one of us. I am grateful to have you all as part of my family and part of my life!
Mush! Gush! yes it's true! For years you have been asking for a place to find it all.
I have captured most of the finished products here, but I found many more that were just begun.
(Well okay, a few of these were never quite up to snuff!)
Thank you for all of your influences.
I found this year that I was able to finish a greater percentage of things started, and everything I started,
I got further through before losing site. I lost a romantic dream of living in Forestville with Pete,
but I kept him as at least a great friend and found my own space for self expression.
I admit, I spent a huge percentage of the year watching movies and playing simulation games
(Sim City - "The people throw a parade in your honor!", Civilization - "For the Spirits", Creature3 - "Foo, Froo, Fruit", Heretic - "I think my people are diseased!", Team Arena -"Watch My Back!", Heroes - "You receive a gift of 1500 Gold", and role playing games(D&D with Ku as ranger/monk, Moss the Shrub, and Sunflower), and even a little internet checkers - "Nice job"!
For career and self betterment - I completed a class from the HTMl Writers' Guild on web design and actually took an extremeyly detailed look at creatig a site, from info architecture to layout, positioning, alignment, color, and contrast. Without a tool such as Dreamweaver or Front Page it took a LOT of work. I wrote a 60 page requirements document for an online web application, applying IBM's RUP tools and surveying different types of requirements that exist for building an application from scratch. I managed 5 application conversations gaining experience in offshore communications and budget monitoring. I drafted 4 more long documents of 34, 74, and 2 at 60+ pages respectively about the process for managing projects. I gained mor experience in managing large Microsoft Word documents.
I lost 20 pounds and kept it off all year. I started a fitness program. I trained once in body guard budo (taijutsu), I ice skated once. I took a yoga class for 8 weeks. I walked in my neighborhood and at work. I returned to the gym, kee[ing up with weights and for awhile interspersing with aerobic and toning classes. I worked out to Latin Rythms and waltzes in my living room.
I did not do everything. I did not see a doctor or a dentist. I did not work out on vacation days. I did not jack my camp.
I did paint the outhouse. I did paint Dad and Astrid's outhouse. I hung fresh curtains and covered the furniture. I mowed thr lawns, I worked on 4 gardens. I spent a lot of time making and keeping great friends! I did not se emy family enough, but I did put on a few dinner parties for them and enjoyed being able to do that tremendously. I did not relzx enough. I did not organize my closet nor my bills. I did get a new vet for Jessie.
